Ivan Jolley

Ivan Jolley was elected to Preston Council in 1967, serving until 1970. Born in Kilmore in 1918 he moved to the Darebin area when he was a boy and studied at schools in both South Preston and Northcote High School. After studying engineering, Jolley moved through a number of positions before becoming a manager at Dunlop Floorings Pty. Ltd. in Reservoir. He was an active member of the Preston community, particularly in youth services. Amongst his roles was, the Presidency of the 1st Reservoir Scouting Group from 1951-1962, member of the Reservoir Young Peoples’ Club and a representative of the Victorian Association for Youth Clubs.
