National Bank of Australasia

312 High Street, Northcote

The existing bank building at 312 High Street Northcote is built on the site of Northcote's first bank, also a National Bank of Australasia. The original bank, a one person branch, was closed due to fears of a Ned Kelly raid. The current bank was built in 1890 with Gerald Moulden as its first manager. The National Bank of Australasia later changed its name to the National Australia Bank.
