James Owen Hughes

(?-1957)

James Owen Hughes was a Councillor of Northcote 1928/9 - 1937/8. He was a curate of the Church of Epiphany and at St Aidans Church, Thornbury. He gained a teacher's certificate 19 Nov 1884 and was a teacher at Thornbury Primary School. He retired from Education Department in 1927.

His sons, A L Hughes and O B Hughes, were both solicitors (Deputy Commissioner of Taxation).
