Library computers

Darebin Libraries provide computer, laptops and iPads that you can access with your library membership. Members can use our computers free of charge. A time limit of 75 minutes applies. This can be extended where possible/when there are available computers.This includes internet access, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Google Earth.


Each of our libraries also has a dedicated Accessibility Computer, designed for people who experience a disability. Find out more about the features of the accessibility computers and how to register to use them on your next visit.

You can visit a branch to use the next available computer or book up to 24 hours in advance over the phone or at the library.

Laptops and iPads for loan

If you need more time on the computer or internet, use your library card to borrow a laptop at Northcote, Preston, Reservoir and Fairfield libraries. Preston Library also has iPads available.

Laptops and iPads are for use in the library only, and can be borrowed for up to three hours per day.

To borrow a laptop or iPad, scan your library barcode or type in your membership number at the device kiosk.
