Membership of Darebin Libraries is free!

Join online

Complete an online membership form to access the online resources in our digital library.

Once you have registered, simply use the temporary ID and the 6-digit PIN you created to begin using our wide range of online resources.

Visit one of our libraries during opening hours to collect your library card and start borrowing physical items and using our other services. Make sure you bring ID with your full name and current address.

All membership applications for those under 18 must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Join in person

Visit any of our four branches to sign up and get your library card on the spot. You will need to bring ID with your full name and current address to sign up.

View our Conditions of Membership.

Join for Organisations

Schools, kindergartens, and nursing homes are eligible to join as organisations with expanded borrowing privileges.

You can view the conditions of organisational memberships and apply by downloading our organisational membership form.

A home delivery service is also available for members of our community, who for reasons of age, illness or disability, are unable to visit the library. Find out more on our home library service web page.
