Learn about the computers and laptops you can access with your library membership.
Darebin Libraries provide desktop computers and laptops that you can access with your library membership. Members can use our computers free of charge. A time limit of 75 minutes applies. This can be extended where possible/when there are available computers. Computers include internet access, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Google Earth.
Each of our libraries also has a dedicated Accessibility Computer, designed for people who experience a disability. Find out more about the features of the accessibility computers and how to register to use them on your next visit.
You can visit a branch to use the next available computer or book up to a week in advance over the phone or at the library.
Read our guide to booking and using our computers(PDF, 1MB).
If you need more time on the computer or internet, use your library card to borrow a laptop at Northcote, Preston, Reservoir and Fairfield libraries.
Laptops are for use in the library only, and can be borrowed for up to three hours per day.
To borrow a laptop, scan your library barcode or type in your membership number at the device kiosk.
