Northcote Leader archive
Darebin's two significant historic, local newspapers are the Preston Leader/Post Times and the Northcote Leader. Both newspapers underwent various iterations from the 1930's through to the 2000's. The State Library of Victoria provides a wonderful 'family tree' for these two papers.

How do I find newspapers after 1955?
In line with the National Library of Australia (NLA), and State Library of Victoria (SLV), newspapers after 1955 are considered to be in copyright. Darebin Libraries does not own copyright and cannot authorise re-use. However we can provided assistance locating an article on the understanding that you determine any copyright that may apply.
