Why are we saying goodbye to Freegal?
Changes in technology and availability of other services for music listening have seen Freegal no longer an essential part of our collections.
When is the last day to use Freegal?
Sunday 31st December is the last day you'll be able to access Freegal.
Where can I access other free music streaming services?
Spotify is a digital music service that provides access to millions of songs where users can access the ad-based model for free or sign up for the paid premium service. Apple Music also offers a free one-month trial. iHeart Radio for national radio content is also free and available on mobile devices.
Is Freegal being replaced with another online music streaming service?
Due to the other music streaming and listening services available, we will not be providing a replacement platform when Freegal is removed.
