Preston Girls Secondary College
Preston Girls' High school opened in February 1928 and was Preston's first state secondary school. It began with over 600 students enrolled and offered students professional and domestic courses. The Council paid 5000 pounds for the land the school was built on. The first principal was Miss Van Nooten who remained in charge for seven years. Preston Girls Secondary College closed it's doors in December 2013.
