Home invasion - Fairfield 1933

On Saturday 6 May 1933, Miss Forence Conran, aged 16, had a traumatic experience when two armed men forced their way into her uncle's house.  One of the men threatened her with a revolver, before blindfolding her and hitting on the face twice.  One of the men threatened her saying,

'If you do not tell me where the money is I will shoot you.'

Once they had the money the two men left the Rathmines Street house.   The robbed house was the home of Mr. Lee, a well known fuel merchant in Fairfield.
