Charles Robertson Rattray

An accident occurred during the construction of Northcote Picture Theatre. Charles Rattray, a labourer aged 25 years, fell 40 feet from the roof into a pile of soft mortar. His head and neck was buried. He was examined by Dr Sturdee and was taken to Melbourne Hospital where he had severe spinal injuries and was in a serious condition. Unfortunately he never recovered and his death is listed in 1912.
