Northcote and Preston Scottish Society

The Northcote and Preston Scottish Society was established in 1913 to, ‘foster a love for and the cultivation of the poetry and songs of Scotland’. They held concerts that featured Highland clothing, traditional music with pipers and traditional dances such as the “sword dance”. They performed a concert for returned soldiers after the First World War. It is unclear when the Society disbanded.
