Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day at an in-conversation event with Bo Kitty, writer of the memoir Always Eat the Weird Stuff.

Whether on the page, or on stage, Bo brings intensity, humour, and radical optimism, inviting others to embrace the messy, strange, and transformative aspects of life.

For International Women’s Day, Bo brings her lived experience and hard-won insight to a conversation about resilience, creativity, and why women’s stories matter more than ever.

Bo Kitty is a Melbourne-based author, consultant, and cultural firestarter who has lived and worked in Darebin for more than 25 years. Her debut memoir, Always Eat the Weird Stuff, is a candid and hopeful exploration of identity, belonging, and the unconventional paths we take to heal and thrive. Set largely in Melbourne, the book combines personal narrative with sharp cultural commentary, offering readers both grit and optimism.

Content warning: This talk touches on themes of generational trauma, resilience, and recovery, and includes discussion of sensitive topics such as abuse, addiction, loss, and grief. Listener discretion is advised.
