The BIG Summer Read (BSR) is open to Victorian children aged 0-18. If you love reading, this summer reading program is for you!

The BIG Summer Read runs from Sunday 1 December 2024 to Friday 31 January 2025.

How to play

  • Register online at ReadBooks.
  • Read at least 10 books and record them on ReadBooks.
  • Upload your reading list on ReadBooks by Friday 31 January 2024 to go in the prize draw!

Age range

Recommended for kids aged 0-18 years.

Prizes and Terms and Conditions

Please note: information about prizes and Terms and Conditions will be updated before the challenge starts.

Participants in the BIG Summer Read must be under the age of 18, reside in Victoria and must be able to collect their prize from a specified library branch. Prizes will not be awarded to anyone who does not meet the eligibility criteria.

Children must be over the age of 13 to register on ReadBooks. Children under 13 must register with the consent of a parent or guardian 18 years or over.
