Thornbury Primary School

Thornbury Primary School opened in Hutton Street Thornbury in 1915. Its first headmaster was James O. Hughes who was to remain as headmaster until his retirement in 1927.

The school celebrated it's centenary in 2015 and published a book of memories and photographs entitled 'School days: memories of Thornbury Primary 1915 - 2015'
