32 Broomfield Avenue Alphington
32 Broomfield Avenue is an Edwardian weatherboard house built in 1911. The house was built for Mary Amy Burke, who had previously lived in Wingrove Street Alphington. Mary was a widow living with her son Francis Ronald Burke.
Francis or Frank as he was known, lived at 32 Broomfield Avenue all his life. In March 1941 he and Edward William Burke were named named as the executors of his mother's will. Frank was listed as being a 'public servant.'
Frank died in 1985 and the house was purchased by Anthony and Anna Morgan. The house was in poor condition and largely original (with some minor alterations in the 1940s). The house has since been renovated and an extension added.
