Preston Girl Guides

The Preston Girl Guides were established in a meeting held in 1927. Former Mayoress of Northcote and district guide commissioner, Mrs. P. J. Slater, spoke of the aims of the movement. Mayoress of Preston (Mrs. A. E. Newton) was elected President. Mrs. Franklin was selected at secretary and Miss Busst as treasurer.
