Jack Potter
(Born 1938)
Coburg born Jack Potter was a versatile sportsman, representing Australia at both cricket and baseball. In 1959 he was a member of the Australian Baseball Team and as part of the Australian Cricket Team he toured New Zealand in 1960, South Africa and England. During the 1960s Potter was the captain/coach of the Preston Cricket Club as well as captain of the Victorian Cricket Team. Potter went on to become the founding coach of the Australian Institute of Sport Cricket Academy. In his first class career Potter played 104 matches and scored 6,142 runs at a healthy average of 41.22.
