Cornelius Reginald Penrose

Cornelius Penrose was born in Maryborough in 1889, moving to Preston in 1926 and beginning work at the Preston Tramways’ Workshop. With a lifelong passion for singing Penrose became the Choir Master of the South Preston Methodist Church as well as founding the Tramways Workshops’ Choir in 1932. Penrose died suddenly in 1952.
