Aubrey Harold Arnold

Arnold was a long time resident of Preston, starting in the fencing trade and building his business into a thriving career. In 1949 he was elected to the Preston Council, becoming Mayor in 1954-55. With the continued growth of the family business, including a new factory in Thomastown, Arnold resigned from Council to devote his time to his business. Arnold was a successful rower with the Preston Club, winning several State titles.
 
Other achievements including serving as a member of the Advisory Council of the Preston Technical School, being a founding member of the Northcote-Preston Rotary Club and organising fundraising activities for PANCH.
