Anthony Schibeci

Tony Schibeci was born in Italy in 1920, migrating to Australia in 1936. Despite being interned for two years during the Second World War, Schibeci was able to move from operating a small mixed business shop to becoming a partner in a thriving concrete business. Through hard work Schibeci was able to become sole proprietor in 1958, making the Ararat Concrete and Paving Company, Preston, one of the largest concreting companies in Melbourne.
